Mr. Emile Hoogsteden (1965) has been vice president Containers, Breakbulk & Logistics at the Port of Rotterdam since 2006. In this role, he is commercially responsible for containers ((cargo-) acquisition, logistics, shipping line calls, leases etc.), breakbulk (other general cargo like forest products, steel, fruit, automotive etc. and RoRo) and logistics, i.e. road, rail, barge. Hoogsteden reports to the CEO of the Port of Rotterdam.

Customer relationship management and networking form an important element of the role as well as high level governmental contacts (local, national and international).

Next to the above, Mr Hoogsteden is also Member of the Board of Rotterdam Port Promotion Council, Member of the Board of Blocklab and Member of the Board of Holland Logistics Promotion Platform.

Emile studied Dutch (corporate) Law at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
